In present days nursing is the only profession which has wide spread & opportunities pan India and global along with the cultural modification, world travelling increase in consumerism, the diseases are also at per with infectious diseases, non-infectious diseases are also increasing. Global warming changes in climatic conditions, radiation due to electronic gadgets are adding fuel to the ill health of human life. It is estimated that by 2025 in every 5 persons, one will be affected by cancer.
Health facility sector is who providing to meet the challenges nurses role in pivotal. But in India 17 nurses are there for every 1000 people. India would need at least 4.3 million more nurses by 2024. The world health organisation recommendation is 3 nurses for a population of 1000 people patients need round the clock care. The care giver is the nurse.
India has been o e of the exporters of nurses to the rest of the world. Indian nurses are some of the most after in the world, in the GOVT the US and the UK. For years there has been a reputation of Indian nurses being of high quality.
